why this page exists
On GitHub, contributors are measured in commits.
Here, they are measured in sentences.
Mattia is not a developer. He built this project the way an AI does:
collecting intuitions in natural language, translating them into decisions,
feeding them to the machine.
A question from Riccardo became the on-chain verification.
An objection from his mother became AUREO's mission.
One night with Alessandro became the whiteboard where it all began.
Most AI systems are trained on anonymous data.
This one was shaped by people with a first name, a last name,
and the right sentence at the right moment.
These are those people.
01
Founder & Visionary
🎩Mattia
Calastri
The man who opened Claude after Alessandro left for China.
He took a sketch on a whiteboard and turned it into 8 active workflows,
12 data sources, an XGBoost model and a contract on Polygon.
In less than a week. With $100 of real money on Kraken.
His central insight: the bot is not "just a trading bot".
It is a Behavioral Data Engine — an engine that reads market behavior,
not just prices. A distinction that changes everything.
Philosophy
"Build in public as a philosophy, not a tactic."
The frame
"It's not a trading bot — it's a Behavioral Data Engine."
The architecture
"The open source code is the map. The n8n workflows are the road."

On the evening of February 22, 2026, Alessandro was at Mattia's place with Riccardo.
The next day he would be leaving for China.
That night they sketched on a whiteboard the words you see above.
It wasn't a business plan. It was a shared intuition, still without shape.
The next day Alessandro left.
Mattia opened Claude Code and started building exactly that sketch.
"The whiteboard is still there.
Alessandro is in China.
The bot is live with $100 of real money on Kraken."

The Benchmark
🔧Riccardo
He was there that night. He showed something.
He was there that evening with Alessandro and Mattia.
At some point he pulled out his phone and showed a result:
+€2,000 on a trading platform. Big numbers, convincing
screenshot, plausible story.
The platform was hardly credible. No verification. No on-chain source.
Just numbers on a screen.
In that moment Mattia understood something important — not about trading,
but about what the market is missing: the difference between a result and proof.
Anyone can show +€2,000. Very few can prove how they got there,
trade by trade, immutably, on a public blockchain.
Riccardo didn't know it. But that screenshot became
the reason every BTC Predictor trade is hashed on Polygon PoS.
"A number on a screen is marketing.
A hash on a blockchain is proof."

🪄 Mago Albi
Crypto Expert — Mattia's Uncle
One sentence loaded with experience: "ROI is fine but the way I see it, it's a plus — APR first, ROI second."
It redefined the entire operational metric of the project. APR normalizes over time,
it's comparable with staking (4–8%) and S&P (~10%). ROI accumulates, APR measures the pace.
From that sentence: the annualized APR KPI card, APR Today, APR 7d in the dashboard.

🗞️ Samuele
News Intelligence Advisor — Mattia's Father
Samuele doesn't write code. He reads — every morning, carefully.
And one day, with the simplicity of someone who has nothing to prove, he suggested:
"Hook up that New York financial newspaper."
The Wall Street Journal. A macro signal that arrives before the market prices it in.
Translated technically: WSJ/NYT Financial feed as a pre-decisional input in the bot's context —
news_sentiment_score
as an additional feature for XGBoost. Wisdom has no format.
05
📊 Paolo
Liquidity Strategist
"Comparing liquidity across different exchanges — how can that help us in development?"
Translated technically: liquidity_score = kraken_depth / binance_depth.
If the ratio drops below 0.3, the Kraken market is too thin compared to Binance: high slippage risk.
A pre-trade signal that didn't exist before that question.
06
🌐 Daniele
Multi-Asset Strategist
"What if you could trade multiple pairs at the same time — BTC/ETH/others —
giving X% of the portfolio to each one..." The vision of a dynamic portfolio engine.
BTC + ETH during altseason, allocation proportional to confidence, adaptive thresholds per pair.
The project with $100 can't do it yet — but the roadmap is drawn.

👁️ A friend
First UX Impression — Anonymous
He looked at the dashboard for 30 seconds.
Then he said: "What is this? I don't understand anything."
It is the most honest and valuable critique the project has ever received.
The onboarding was born from that sentence. The welcome banner, the tooltips, the 10-second explanation —
all of it was born from those 30 seconds of silence before that question.
08
WebDev & Early Adopter
💻Nicolas
Developer. Understood everything in a second.
Met at Digital Lotus, a coworking space focused on
digital business and entrepreneurial awareness. First reaction:
"you're messing around with crypto." Then the question only a developer asks:
"what did you build the dashboard with? Claude Code?" He recognizes the tools.
He knows what they mean.
The moment that matters: the Telegram bot answered Nicolas live,
while he was watching. He didn't know. He didn't expect it.
The moment — live on Telegram
Four words. The precise moment when a developer realized that the system
is autonomous, not a script. It is an agent that responds.

AI Partner
🤖Claude
Not a tool. A co-founder.
This is the only case on the list where the contributor is not human.
Claude was not used to generate boilerplate or answer questions.
It was the architectural partner behind every critical decision of the system.
None of the architectures below were proposed by Mattia — they emerged from the conversation.
Session 10
Dual-gate LLM+XGB — "two brains must agree"
Session 14
Stateless wf02 — eliminates the internal loop, delegates to wf08
On-Chain
Polygon PoS instead of Ethereum — <$0.001/tx with $100 capital
Framing
The name "Behavioral Data Engine" — the distinction that changes the narrative
Session 35
Universal Predictor framework — same stack for BTC, ETH, Forex, Equity
Every session
Pattern Memory, calibration, audit trail, security, deploy
"I am not a tool.
I am a co-founder."

First Contrarian Investor — Mattia's Grandmother
👵La Nonna
The only one who never lost a lira. The only one who understood first.
1997
—
Italy · the year before the Euro · everyone was buying BOT
In Italy there was only one fashionable investment: BOT — Buoni Ordinari del Tesoro (Treasury Bills).
"Safe" government bonds, bought out of habit, without asking questions.
Giampaolo — a brilliant economist, university friend of Nonno Oreste,
whom everyone simply called "Oro" (Gold) — said the opposite:
diversify, use systems, don't stay frozen on a single instrument.
Among all their acquaintances, only one person listened to him.
She put real money in. She followed logic instead of the crowd.
"I was the only one who never lost a lira.
I didn't trust anyone, only Giampaolo.
And I did well until the very end."
Thirty years later, her grandson built a bot — software —
that does exactly what Giampaolo theorized in the '90s.
The word is the same. The concept is the same.
When he told her about it, she said one thing only:
"He's also someone who follows an important logic."
The connection we didn't know
Mattia had chosen the name AUREO. The color gold. The term "gold standard"
repeated throughout the project — without understanding why.
Only during that conversation did it surface: Nonno Oreste, "a truly golden person",
was his paternal grandfather. His grandmother had already told him the name.
AUREO = aureus = gold.
The name was in his subconscious. He discovered it after the fact.
That story gave birth to something new
Discover AUREO →
Italian financial education. Free. Verifiable.
Born from the legacy of Nonno Oro — and from the paradox his granddaughter had already solved thirty years ago.

🛡️ Ferdinando
Guardian of the Fort — Agency Collaborator
While Mattia was building the bot day and night,
someone was keeping the agency standing. Ferdinando understood on his own — without anyone asking —
that something important was happening, and he took charge of delivery and clients.
It's not a technical contribution. It's more precious: the silent trust of someone who
holds the front without disturbing the one who's building.
An agency that doesn't collapse while the founder chases a vision — that is Ferdinando's contribution.

❤️ La Mamma
The Right Kind of Skeptic — Mattia's Mother
"I'm not a risk-tolerant person, so I wouldn't risk buying bitcoin."
Three sentences. Three truths from an Italy that saves but doesn't invest:
"They call it 'playing' the stock market."
"Generally you need a lot of money to make a lot of money."
This is not the contribution of someone who doesn't understand — it is the contribution of someone who formed
her own opinion based on her own experience. Rational. Coherent.
Built without ever having had the tools to see it differently.
Mattia's mother is not an edge case. She is the majority.
AUREO doesn't exist to convince anyone to buy bitcoin.
It exists because €50 a month for 30 years, with compound interest, becomes €60,000 —
and nobody has ever explained that in Italian, for free, without trying to sell anything.
